This Privacy Policy explains how NOBLE PATH VENTURES LLC (“Noble Path,” “Illume,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Illume mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using Illume, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at:
1. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use Illume.
A. Information You Provide
We may collect information that you voluntarily provide, including:
- name or profile information;
- email address;
- account information;
- goals and intentions;
- manifestation prompts;
- preferences;
- journal entries;
- responses to onboarding questions;
- text you provide for personalized content;
- details about your life, such as your occupation, your age, and where you live;
- photographs you choose to add, such as a profile picture or the pictures you put on your vision board — see D below;
- feedback and support requests; and
- other information you choose to provide.
Because Illume creates personalized experiences, information you enter may sometimes describe your relationships, career, finances, lifestyle, emotions, aspirations, or other personal matters.
Illume also lets you name the people who matter to you, so that they can appear in what we write for you. If you do, we store the name you give, how that person relates to you, and anything you add about them. That information is about someone else, and they have not agreed to this Privacy Policy — so please add only what you would be comfortable holding on their behalf, and remove them at any time from within the app.
Please only provide information you are comfortable having processed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
B. Personalized and AI Content
When you ask Illume to create personalized content, we may process:
- your prompts;
- selected goals or categories;
- personalization preferences;
- generated scripts;
- generated audio;
- titles and related metadata; and
- previous interactions where needed to provide requested personalization.
This information may be processed using third-party artificial intelligence, text-generation, text-to-speech, or audio-generation service providers.
C. Your Voice
Illume can ask you to say your own name once, so that it is spoken back to you the way you say it rather than the way a machine guesses.
This is the only time Illume uses your microphone, and it happens only if you choose to record. If you do, the recording is stored in your account and sent to our AI provider to work out the pronunciation. It is never used to identify you, is not used to train anyone else’s models, and deleting your account deletes it along with everything else.
You can use every part of Illume without ever recording anything.
D. Your Photographs
Illume can ask for a photograph in two places: a picture of you for your profile, and pictures you add to your vision board. Both are chosen by you from your photo library — Illume never browses it, and sees only the image you pick.
A photograph you choose is uploaded and stored privately against your account, so that it follows you to another phone. It is not shared with anyone, is not sent to our AI providers, and is not used to identify you or anybody in it. You can remove any of them from within the app, and deleting your account deletes them along with everything else.
Illume also saves the affirmation cards you share into your own photo library, if you allow it. That is writing a picture to your phone rather than collecting one from it — nothing about it reaches us.
E. Account and Authentication Information
Illume creates an account for you the first time you open it, before you have told us anything about yourself. That account holds what you make in the app and is identified only by a random identifier — it has no name, no email address and nothing that identifies you personally until you choose to sign in.
If you then sign in, we attach that sign-in to the account you have already been using rather than starting a new one, and we may receive information necessary to authenticate you, such as:
- user identifier;
- email address;
- authentication token; and
- basic profile information made available by the authentication provider.
We generally do not receive your password from third-party sign-in providers.
F. Subscription and Purchase Information
If you purchase a subscription, payments are generally processed by Apple, Google, or another authorized payment platform.
We may receive information such as:
- subscription status;
- product or subscription type;
- purchase date;
- renewal or expiration status;
- transaction identifiers; and
- limited purchase metadata.
We never see your card. Apple takes the payment and tells us only whether a subscription is active, so there is no card number, bank detail or billing address for us to hold or to lose.
We use a subscription-management provider, RevenueCat, to keep track of whether your subscription is current. It receives your Illume account identifier and the purchase information above.
G. What You Do Inside Illume
Some of what you do in the app is kept because the app would not work otherwise. This is held on your account, not gathered into a profile of you:
- how far through an audio you have listened, so it resumes where you left it;
- what you have saved or liked, so it is there when you return;
- which days you have listened, so your streak is counted;
- your reminder time and whether reminders are on; and
- when things were created, so today’s shelf can be told from yesterday’s.
Illume contains no advertising service, no advertising identifier and no cross-app tracking. It does contain a crash reporter and a product-analytics service, both described in section 13, and neither of them ever receives anything you have written.
Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs — including the IP address a request came from, the time, and the app version — for security, abuse prevention and diagnosis. Apple may also make crash and performance data available to us if you have chosen to share it with developers in your iOS settings; that comes from Apple, is not gathered by us, and we cannot tie it to your account.
2. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- provide and operate Illume;
- create personalized scripts and audio experiences;
- remember your preferences;
- provide affirmations, meditations, recommendations, and other content;
- authenticate your account;
- manage subscription access;
- synchronize content and account information;
- improve the quality and usability of the Service;
- identify and fix technical problems;
- prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- respond to customer support inquiries;
- send service-related communications;
- comply with legal obligations;
- enforce our Terms of Service; and
- protect the rights and safety of Illume, our users, and others.
Where required by law, we rely on an appropriate legal basis for processing personal information, such as performance of a contract, consent, legitimate interests, or compliance with legal obligations.
3. AI and Audio Processing
Illume uses artificial intelligence and audio technologies to provide personalized experiences.
When Illume writes something for you, what you have told us about the life you want is sent to an AI provider to be turned into words, and those words are then sent to a speech provider to be turned into a voice. This is how the app works: without it there is nothing to listen to.
The providers we use for this today are:
- OpenAI — writes the scripts, affirmations and daily messages, and works out how your name is pronounced from the recording if you make one;
- Anthropic — used for some text generation;
- ElevenLabs — turns the written script into spoken audio; and
- Fish Audio and fal.ai — alternative speech providers, used in place of ElevenLabs for some voices.
We send these providers only what is needed to write or speak the piece in question — the relevant details of what you have asked for, not your email address, and not your account history.
We have asked each of these providers not to use what is sent for training their own models, and their agreements with us provide for this. We cannot audit them, and you should treat anything you type into any AI-powered app — this one included — as leaving your device.
We may change providers as the technology changes. If we do, we will update the list above; the kinds of information sent and the reasons for sending it will stay as described here.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money.
We may disclose information in the following circumstances.
Service Providers
A small number of companies process information on our behalf so that Illume can work. Each receives only what its job requires:
- Supabase — hosts the database, the account system and the stored audio. Everything described in section 1 lives here.
- Resend — sends the emails Illume needs to send you: your sign-in code, and a reminder shortly before a free trial ends. It receives your email address and the words in that email, and nothing else about you.
- OpenAI and Anthropic — receive what is needed to write your scripts, affirmations and daily messages, and, if you record it, your name.
- ElevenLabs, Fish Audio and fal.ai — receive the written script in order to speak it.
- RevenueCat — receives your account identifier and subscription status so the app knows whether your membership is current.
- Sentry — receives crash and error reports. These are not connected to your account and contain nothing you have written.
- Mixpanel — receives counts of a few actions, so we can see which parts of Illume are used. Never the content of anything, and you can switch this off in Settings.
- Expo — delivers app updates. It receives the technical request information any download involves, and nothing from your account.
- Apple and Google — provide sign-in if you choose it, and Apple processes your payment.
These providers may use this information only to provide their service to us, under their agreements with us. None of them is an advertising company, and none of them receives what you write.
Apple and Google
If you use Illume through Apple's App Store or Google Play, those platforms may independently collect and process information relating to downloads, payments, subscriptions, devices, and app usage according to their own privacy policies.
Legal and Safety Reasons
We may disclose information where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
- investigate fraud or security issues;
- enforce our agreements;
- protect our legal rights;
- protect the safety of users or others; or
- prevent illegal activity.
Business Transfers
If NOBLE PATH VENTURES LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, asset sale, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.
5. We Do Not Guarantee Confidentiality of Information You Share Outside Illume
Illume may allow you to share certain content, such as an audio title, cover, link, or other generated material.
If you choose to share information outside Illume, the recipient or third-party platform may copy, store, or redistribute that information.
Please review content before sharing it.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- provide the Service;
- maintain your account;
- fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy;
- comply with legal obligations;
- resolve disputes;
- prevent fraud and abuse; and
- enforce our agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why it was collected.
If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify associated personal information within a reasonable period unless retention is required or permitted by law.
Certain information may remain temporarily in backups or security systems.
7. Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information through functionality provided in Illume, where available, or by contacting:
We may need to verify your identity before processing a deletion request.
Deleting your Illume account does not necessarily cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Subscription cancellation may need to be completed separately through the applicable app store.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:
- request access to personal information we maintain about you;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion;
- obtain a copy of certain information;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- appeal certain privacy decisions where applicable.
These rights may be subject to exceptions under applicable law.
To submit a privacy request, email:
We may need to verify your identity before completing your request.
9. California Privacy Rights
California residents may have additional rights under California privacy law.
Depending on the applicability of those laws, these may include rights to know, access, correct, or delete certain personal information and rights relating to certain disclosures of personal information.
NOBLE PATH VENTURES LLC does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
If our practices change in a way that creates additional rights under California law, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide applicable choices.
You may submit a California privacy request at:
We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
10. Children's Privacy
Illume is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to Illume, contact:
11. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.
However, no internet transmission, application, or storage system is completely secure.
Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. International Data Processing
Illume and its service providers may process or store information in the United States and other countries.
Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from those where you live.
Where required, we use appropriate mechanisms designed to protect personal information transferred internationally.
13. Crash Reports, Analytics and Advertising
There is no advertising in Illume, no advertising identifier, and no tracking of you across other apps or websites. We do not collect information about you from other companies, we do not buy or combine it from other sources, and we have never sold or shared personal information for advertising.
Three things do measure something, and we would rather name them here than have you find them on the App Store listing.
Crash reports
When Illume crashes or hits an error, a report goes to Sentry so that we can fix it. It contains the technical circumstances — where in our own code it happened, the app version, the kind of device, the operating system.
It is not connected to your account. We do not attach your name, your email address or your account identifier to these reports, and we do not send your IP address with them. Nothing you have written is in them.
How the app is used
We use Mixpanel to count a small number of things that tell us what to build next: that onboarding finished, that an audio was played, that the paywall was shown, that a membership was started and which plan it was, that a card was shared, that someone signed in.
These are counts of actions, not records of content. What you asked Illume for, what it wrote you, who you named and what you listened to are never sent. We do not record which screens you visit or build a profile of your behaviour.
Each count carries an identifier for this installation of the app, so that one person tapping twice is not counted as two people. It is not your name and it is not your account — we never tell Mixpanel who you are — and it does not follow you into any other app. It is also not an advertising identifier: Illume has none, and asks for none.
You can turn this off. Settings → Privacy → Help improve Illume. Turning it off stops it immediately and for good, and nothing else about the app changes. Crash reports are not covered by that switch, because they carry nothing about you and they are what makes a fault you have hit fixable.
Subscriptions
Our subscription provider, RevenueCat, shows us reporting about subscriptions — how many people begin a trial, how many renew, how many cancel. Because we give it your account identifier so that your membership follows you between devices, that record is identified rather than anonymous. It also receives an identifier for this installation of the app, in the same way. It concerns payments rather than you, nothing you type into Illume reaches it, and Apple requires it to be declared as analytics, so we declare it.
If any of this changes we will say so here before it takes effect, and the App Store listing for Illume will change with it.
14. Notifications and Communications
If you turn on reminders, Illume schedules them on your device at the time you choose. They are set by the app on the phone itself — there is no push token, nothing is sent to a notification server, and we do not learn whether you opened one.
You can change the time or turn reminders off in Illume, or switch them off entirely in your device settings.
We may also send transactional communications relating to your account, subscription, security, or changes to the Service.
Where required by law, marketing communications will be sent only with appropriate consent and will include applicable opt-out options.
15. Third-Party Links and Services
Illume may contain links to third-party websites, services, or platforms.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and this Privacy Policy does not govern information those third parties collect independently.
We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Illume evolves or as legal requirements change.
When we make material changes, we may provide notice through Illume, our website, email, or another reasonable method.
The effective date at the top will indicate when the latest version became effective.
